Registration Information
Spring Student athlete registration will open on February 1st and close on March 25th at NOON CT.
Student athlete registration is coordinated through the League’s Athlete Management System (AMS) on ClayTargetGO!.
New Students: Contact your coach to receive a Team ID that enables you to make a new AMS profile in ClayTargetGO!. Once your profile is complete, you are eligible to be invited to complete the registration process. Watch for a notification on your AMS dashboard with a link to register.
Existing Students: Previous League participants already have an AMS profile in ClayTargetGO!. Please login to your AMS profile and update any missing information. Once your coach invites you to register, you will be able to complete the registration process by following the link in the notification on your AMS dashboard.
Coaches will invite students to register using the League’s Team Management System in ClayTargetGO!. Once invited, athletes will be notified via email and by notification on their AMS/ClayTargetGO! dashboard that they are now eligible to register.
Whether a student athlete is from the previous year’s team or is new to the team, ALL student athletes are required to complete their registration and payment (if applicable) through AMS by the registration deadline. Athletes may login to their profile on ClayTargetGO! at any time to check their registration status.

- The Head Coach logs into the League’s Team Management System (TMS) and invites the student to complete their registration by adding them to the Invite List.
- An automated notification is sent to the athlete/guardian’s email address. A notification is also posted on the athlete’s AMS dashboard in ClayTargetGO!.
- After receiving the notification, the Athlete can login to AMS to complete the registration process.
- The registrant will receive an email confirmation that registration and payment (if applicable) has been completed.
The Athlete Management System (AMS) is a part of the League’s ClayTargetGO! system. AMS hosts the athlete profiles for student athlete participants. After an athlete’s profile is completed, users may login to AMS/ClayTargetGO! to complete their registration, make changes to an athlete’s or legal guardian’s profile information, and view statistics from the Shooter Performance Tracker.

The registrant must be the parent/legal guardian of the student, unless the student athlete will be 18 years of age or older as of 3/23/23.
Coaches cannot complete the registration for student athletes unless it is their own child.
Yes, ALL student athletes must register their participation each season, for each sport, regardless if he/she has participated in the past.
$40. This is only the fee that is due directly to the League. Any team fees, such as ammunition, local shooting range costs, uniforms, gear, etc., are paid separately to your team. Please contact your coach for specific team participation fee information.
Registrants will also have an opportunity to make a donation to the League during the registration process to help support and grow youth shooting sports.
The student athlete registration fee payment method is determined by each team and will be identified when registrants begin their registration process. Teams should communicate the payment method choice to registrants before student athlete registration is available.
Option 1: Athlete payment
Registrants must pay their fee(s) online during registration.
Option 2: Team payment
No online transaction will be required during registration, and the team is responsible for paying the registration fee(s) for all student athletes on their team.
No. Households with multiple student athletes will have to register each student separately.
Credit or debit cards featuring Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club are allowed.
The USA Clay Target League uses Stripe as its sole payment service provider to accept credit and debit cards.

Stripe is regularly audited and is certified as PCI Level 1 Compliance – the highest available. All transactions are encrypted, and all credit card numbers and decryption information are stored separately. The League does NOT store credit card information and transactions only take place on Stripe payment systems.
All student athletes are required to complete and submit certificates for either one of two League-approved firearm safety certification programs – a state-approved hunter education certificate or the League’s SAFE Certification. Either option requires the firearm safety certification information to be documented in Athlete Management System (AMS) before the athlete can participate in any shooting activities with the team.
Teams should verify the firearm safety training certification requirements with the shooting range where they will be conducting League events.
Student athletes cannot participate in any shooting activities with a team without a League-approved firearm safety certificate.
